Antonietta Collins
Antonietta Toniz Collins (born in Mexico) is an Mexican American broadcaster. She is currently employed by ESPN as a anchor for SportsCenter and occasionally host SportsNation. She began working for ESPN as a news anchor in the year 2016. Her mother is the TV reporter Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta is a native speaker of two languages. When she was just nine years old, her ability to converse in two languages allowed her to get the job she wanted in Miami as an assistant production at Univision. She divorced her parents within a short time and in the year 1995, she got married to an naval designer by the name of Fabio Fajardo. Fabio Fajardo died in 2006 of kidney cancer. The couple stayed at Canton Ohio with her older sister in the summertime and was given a job. Still a senior in high school but having a clear vision of about what she wanted to pursue for her life, Antonietta visited the University of Mount Union to assess if it suited her requirements. Then she was enthralled with the school. They also offered her a an academic major. She finished school and went to the University as a media studies major. Mark Bergmann was her professor and the manager of WRMU in which she is a member. They had a very close relationship. He encouraged her to have confidence and his passion for journalism deeply affected her, and she determined to fulfill his expectations and never failed him.
